An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Wensu County, Aksu Prefecture, in northwest China's Xinjiang Region , at 7:58 a.m. Monday .
According to media reports , the epicenter of the earthquake was monitored at a depth of 10 kilometers, at 41.87 degrees north latitude and 79.85 degrees east longitude .
The epicenter was 84 km from Aksu City and 670 km from the regional capital, Urumqi .
No material or human losses have been reported so far, according to the local authorities .
After the earthquake, the local fire department sent two vehicles with 10 firefighters on board to the affected areas.
