In the municipality of Jaboticabal in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, a small aircraft crashed, tragically taking the lives of four adults and a child.
The incident occurred during heavy rainfall, according to local firefighting authorities.
As reported by the Brazilian news agency "Brasília," the plane suddenly plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground, resulting in a fire that claimed the lives of all four passengers, as confirmed by Brazilian authorities.
The agency also mentioned that the wreckage of the aircraft was scattered on the ground and among the trees, which continued to burn for an extended period.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances and causes of the crash.
At the moment, it is believed that the accident may have been caused by overloading, as the aircraft was designed for a pilot and three passengers but was carrying an additional person, exceeding its maximum allowable capacity.
Additionally, it has been confirmed that the small aircraft, which was manufactured in 2012 and bore the registration PT-ZVL, was not authorized to perform air taxi services.
Among the victims, the police have identified Decis Minisys Tiago, a well-known businessman from the Monti Alto region and the owner of an eyewear store.
Tiago's daughter, Theli, told local media Globo that her father, known as Tiago da Autica in the area, had departed from Monti Alto, heading to Fernandopolis to meet some friends and take them on a flight.
