5 Killed, 16 Injured in Explosion in Pakistan

The Pakistani authorities announced today, Sunday, that at least 5 people were killed and 16 others were injured, when an explosion occurred in a crowded market in Barkhan district, 600 km northeast of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

The American (ABC News) channel quoted the local police chief as saying that the bomb was apparently attached to a motorcycle and was detonated via a remote control, noting that in addition to the casualties, the explosion damaged many shops. 

For his part, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizengo, condemned the bombing, describing it as a terrorist attack.. While no party has yet claimed responsibility for it.
