Five individuals tragically drowned at Ras El Ma Beach in Morocco's Nador Province, following two separate incidents that occurred in close succession.

According to Hespress, three young men—two of whom were from the city of Jerada—drowned at " Les Roches," a rocky area opposite the Jafari Islands popular for cliff diving. They were pulled into the sea by high waves in the evening and were later recovered by rescue teams at "Red Beach."

A few hours later, a man in his fifties from Oujda and his approximately 18-year-old daughter drowned in the "Kmkoum El Baz" area of the same beach.

The current dragged them away in front of onlookers who were unable to save them.

The incidents occurred at unguarded locations, despite the heavy influx of beachgoers. There are no signs or warnings prohibiting swimming in these areas, as noted by Hespress.
