In addition, the Egyptian National Seismic Network recorded the event, according to Dr. Gad El Qadi, President of National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).
Egypt's residents felt the earthquake at 7:15 am. It was at a depth of 80 km (49.7 miles), the EMSC said.
It is worthy to mention that Crete was hit by more than five earthquakes in the last 62 hours by the EMSC.
