41st Ordinary CAF General Assembly Concludes

The events of the 41st CAF ordinary assembly took place in Marriot Hotel Zamalek. It was attended by several important football federation figures like the president of the FIFA Infantino, CAF President Ahmed Ahmed, acting Egyptian Football Federation president Hany Abo Rida and Egyptian Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy.

Each of these important figures have their speech which mainly revolved around Egypt”s exceptional organization of the tournament, the current state of the CAF and potential future and the plans of the football world going forward.

Also in attendance was African Football Legends such as former Barcelona and Inter Milan star Samuel Eto and former Inter Milan star Nwanko Kanu.

CAF President Ahmed Ahmed gave the opening speech and thanked the delegates, media men and players for attending the ceremony.

Ahmed described this year's African Cup of Nations as unforgettable; he praised the Egyptian government's ability to transform their entire infrastructure in 5 months in order to fit the credentials of the CAF.

He further praised the leadership of president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi who led the reform process in record time and made people a welcoming home for all Africans and nationalities from all over the world. He described the quality of investments as superb and praised the beautiful matches.

Ahmed addressed some of the ongoing problems with the African Football Federation's economic problems, stating that postponing the African Cup of Nations has caused the federation to lose lots of money. In the end he thanked Egypt on behalf of the international community for giving them an unforgettable tournament.

His speech was followed by Egyptian Football Federation President who resigned recently. He welcomed all those in attendance to the land of peace and security.

Abo Rida talked about the current ongoing problems in the CAF base in Egypt and promised that they will be working toward transforming the CAF building to a diplomatic sector set to provide services for all people from all nations.

Lastly came Fifa President Gianni Infantino, who opened his speech by congratulating Senegal and Algeria for reaching the final, stating that he is looking forward for this superb clash.

Infantino described Egypt's organization as exceptional. He urged all the football family around the world to work in unity to improve the beautiful game around the world.

He listed the achievements he made since taking control of the FIFA a couple of years ago. He said the federation was in complete chaos before he took control, stating it was in worse condition than the African Nations is now.

He closed his statements by saying that he completely believes in Africa, even though he is not African and even though the CAF voted against his election a couple of years ago.
