Several Egyptian YouTubers had suffered from strokes in less than a week, leaving social media users in a state of disbelief, and profound sadness.
It all began with YouTuber Mustafa Hafnawi, who was hospitalized after he felt severe pain in his abdomen and left arm, by which he was misdiagnosed for colitis.
Later on, the left part of Hefnawi’s brain was totally damaged, leading to a partial-body paralysis. He lost consciousness after a few hours and was pronounced dead from brain stroke on Monday. He was 25.
A state of sadness has prevailed among social media users after the sudden loss of Hefnawy, who had wide popularity on social media platforms, and was known for making entertainment video-content.
Many Egyptian celebrities and social media users prayed for his quick recovery; however, he was announced dead on Monday, leaving his followers in shock.
Hafnawi was widely known through social media platforms and has more than 198,000 followers on his YouTube channel.
Also, Egyptian YouTuber, Mai Maher, suffered from a stroke in the lungs, hours after Hafnawi's death. She was transferred to the hospital and entered the intensive care unit for treatment.
Maher presented through social media platforms recipes for the latest Arabic and oriental foods, in a simple way that attracted the audience of social media.
Another YouTuber was reported to be suffering from the same condition. Mai Abdel Rahman YouTube account announced on Tuesday that she had a stroke in the lung.
Abdel Rahman was famous for presenting comedy videos with another YouTuber called Shmbr.
Furthermore, YouTuber Khalid Gad suffered a stroke in his right arm in Germany, becoming is the lastest influencer to suffer from a stroke in less than a week.
Gad, who has over 2 million followers on his YouTube channel, is currently hospitalized and is expected to be discharged soon.
