3,808,624 Visitors Attend 55th CIBF

The total number of visitors officially exceeded the number of visitors from the entire last year, during the 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF), which was open to the public for 10 days.

On February 3, 2024, approximately 305,185 visitors attended, bringing the total number of visitors to 3,808,624 so far. Dr. Nevin El-Kilani, the Minister of Culture, expressed her delight at the overwhelming turnout at the exhibition grounds. She emphasized that it represents a unique cultural scene that reflects the Egyptians' passion for knowledge and appreciation of various art forms.

The exhibition serves as a window to the world of thought, culture and creativity, and is a testament to the new republic's commitment to placing culture as a top priority. Dr. Nevin also added that the exhibition was an excellent representation of Egyptian identity and culture.

The Minister of Culture thanked the organizers for their efforts in preparing for the various activities and urged them to continue providing a distinguished cultural service to the Egyptian public during the remaining days. It is noteworthy that the 55th session of the Cairo International Book Fair will continue until February 6 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.
