A drone attack sparked multiple explosions near Abu Dhabi airport on Monday, killing at least three people and wounding six others.
Three tanker trucks carrying fuel exploded in the emirate's Mussafah area after catching fire, according to a police statement. Preliminary investigations point out that it could be a drone attack.

The dead were one Pakistani and two Indians, the UAE's official news agency WAM confirmed.
Unverified footage on social media showed a thick plume of black smoke billowing from what appeared to be Musaffah. In response, police closed the road leading to the area.

"Initial investigations found parts of a small plane that could possibly be a drone at both sites that could have caused the explosion and the fire," Abu Dhabi police said, affirming that there was no significant damage.
In the same vein, Yemen's Iranian-backed Houthi rebels said they would soon make a statement about "a special military operation that was carried out in the heart of the UAE," the Houthi-owned Al Masirah TV channel reported.
