The 21st humanitarian aid convoy bound for the Gaza Strip crossed into the territory on Saturday through the Karam Abu Salem crossing, carrying more than 100 trucks loaded with urgent relief supplies.
The convoy, organized under the supervision of the Egyptian Red Crescent, is one of the largest to date in terms of the number of vehicles and volume of assistance. It reflects ongoing Egyptian and regional efforts to alleviate the suffering of civilians in Gaza amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions caused by the escalation.
The convoy left Egyptian territory earlier in the day and entered Kerem Shalom carrying a wide range of aid, including food, medical, and essential household supplies.
The shipment is not limited to Egyptian contributions. It also includes relief from the Emirates Red Crescent, Qatar, and the international non-profit World Central Kitchen, highlighting broad regional and global support for humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
Among the supplies are staple food items such as flour, cheese, and food baskets, along with boxes of essential household goods. Medical and health equipment, described as critically needed by residents, were also part of the cargo.
The aid comes as international organizations continue to warn of worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza, where shortages of food, medicine, and basic necessities are compounding the hardships faced by the population.
