Egypt's presidential advisor for health affairs Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din announced on Tuesday that 20% of Egyptians will get the Coronavirus vaccine.
He said during the conference of the General Assembly on chest diseases and tuberculosis, that the priority in distributing this vaccine will be for medical staff, patients with chronic diseases, chest diseases, heart diseases, and immunodeficiency, as well as pregnant women, RT reported.
Noteworthy, Egypt confirmed on Monday 123 new coronavirus infections, raising the total cases to 105,547 since the beginning of the virus outbreak.
“Ten more deaths were confirmed; raising the total number to 6,130,” Khaled Megahed, the Health Ministry’s spokesman, said in a statement.
“Up to 98,314 coronavirus patients have recovered so far,” the spokesman said.
“As many as 67 Egyptians were among the recovered patients today,” he added.
