On Thursday, a Saudi Royal Air Force F-15SA fighter jet crashed, resulting in the loss of both crew members on board.
The crash took place during a routine training mission at the King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran, located in the eastern region of the kingdom.
The official spokesperson for the military, Brig. Gen. Turki al-Maliki provided this information through the state-run Saudi Press Agency.
Unfortunately, no further details regarding the circumstances of the crash have been disclosed at this time.
The F-15SA fighter jet is a modified version of the McDonnell Douglas aircraft and constitutes a significant part of the kingdom's air fleet, with multiple units in operation.
This incident comes after another crash occurred near the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait back in July, resulting in the tragic loss of two pilots.
