The Red Sea Operations Room received a report on Thursday of a private plane crashing upon landing at El Gouna Airport.
The crash had left two pilots injured, Mohamed Saeed Khalil Mohamed al-Seroojy, and Akram Khalil Khalid Hasan al-Hossary, who later subsequently died of their wounds.
Ambulance and four civil defense vehicles responded immediately.
The plane reportedly belongs to the "Air Man" company. It was on a leisurely cruise over the resort of El Gouna.
Egypt's Attorney General Hamada Al-Sawy ordered starting an investigation into the crash.
