On Monday, the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts announced that it received 1959 artworks for the foundation's 5th Art Awards five competitions (Painting - Sculpture - Photography - Art Critique - Architecture).
In addition, the number of participants reached 1000 artist from various parts of Egypt.
The total amount of prizes estimated at EGP 500,000.
The foundation's Board of Trustees and juries thank all artists for their unique efforts, wishing them the best of luck.
The foundation also released the details of each division of the Art Awards.
Painting
The Painting competition will see the participation of 946 artworks submitted by 473 artist.
The total amount of prizes are estimated at EGP 100,000: 50,000 for first place, 30,000 for the second, and 20,000 for the third.
Architecture
36 projects were submitted by 71 artists for the competition.

The Sculpture
216 artworks submitted by 165 artists were received.

744 artworks by 274 photographers will compete at the competition.

The names of the winners of the 5th Art Awards will be announced during a prize ceremony with the opening of a group exhibition for the competitions' finalists at the El Gizira Arts Center.
