U.S Veteran Surgeon, Youngest CEO, Environmental Researcher to Attend "Egypt Can" Conference

CAIRO, Dec 16 (SEE)-Dozens of Egyptian skilled expatriates will attend the fourth edition of the National Conference for Egyptian scholars and experts living abroad known as "Egypt Can with Education" under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram previously invited Egyptian expats who have skills and talents and eager to use them for development of their country.

The conference will be launched on Monday in the Red Sea City of Hurghada.

Dr. Karim Abou El Magd, head of Gastrointestinal and Gastroenterology Department at Cleveland Clinic, in the USA is expected to attend the conference.

Americans call him a "magician in the surgery rooms".

He used to train Egyptian young surgeons on performing accurate surgeries of the digestive system.

Karim occupied many high-profile positions. He is currently chairing the U.S.'s Cleveland Center for Organ Transplantation and Transplantation and Bowel Rehabilitation center at Thomas I. Starzell Institute.

He established the largest specialized intestinal center at the University of Pittsburgh, and excelled in gastrointestinal surgery.

Another skilled expat expected to attend the conference is Dr. Amr Hassanein who works as a researcher and assistant teacher at the Department of Environmental Science and Technology at the University of Maryland, USA, and he is specialized in training students in sound and advanced scientific research.

Hassanein received his MA and PhD degrees in bioengineering and energy engineering from the University of Agriculture and Forestry in northwest China.

His doctoral thesis was on the effect of using microbial electrolyte cell on the performance of anaerobic decomposition in terms of sustainable energy production and enhancement of waste treatment.

He attended two different universities from two countries. First, He graduated from the Suez Canal University in Egypt. Secondly, he obtained his MA and PhD from China.

The third icon that will attend Monday's conference is Dr. Amr Al-Imam Abdul-Moneim, CEO of AISCO Company and one of the world's leading international business leaders.

He is considered as the youngest Egyptian CEO of a US company. ACICO specializes in the field of telecommunications, which develops and manufactures radio receivers based on radio waves technology.

In the meantime, Amr is globally ranked as the senior supervisor of developing the so-called Super Conductor Filter Technology since 1996.

He registered more than 100 patents in the US and other countries. AISCO is one of the five most innovative companies in Chicago thanks to Amr's inventions in the past five years (2014-2018).
