Tunisia Shuts Down Its Consulate in Paris for Week

The Tunisian Consulate General in Paris announced Today, that its headquarters will shut down for seven days, after several of its employees tested positive for the Covid-19, in order to sterilize the entire building to preserve the employees and citizens safety.

According to consulate's press release, the citizens with urgent inquiries can contact the Tunisian Consulate in Pantin. Also, the Consulate makes the following telephone number available to all citizens to contact with all of its services during this period: 01 53 70 69 19.

On other hand, the French hospitals registered 1,307 new coronavirus cases on Monday, in the highest daily increase since April 2.

The French health ministry data showed that the country now has a total of 17,784 coronavirus cases in its hospitals, compared with 32,292 on April 14.

In addition, the ministry reported that the death toll reached 35,018.

Despite the French government’s efforts to confront the virus with targeted measures in local hotspots such as: bar closures and curfews, the rate of infections has continued to climb nationwide.

France has now overtaken neighboring Spain as the country with the highest number of confirmed cases in Europe, according to data released by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control on Sunday.
