CAIRO, Dec. 23 (SEE) - As we approach the end of the year, a latest piece at Houzz.com published photos for the top 10 dining rooms in 2018. And below, ‘SEE’ re-publish them, where you can get a glimpse of what is the latest design trends, but also they might trigger some thoughts that you can apply in your house to make your room more comfortable, relaxing and accommodative.

10. Cozy With a Banquette

Pairing a sophisticated custom banquette with rustic dining chairs and soothing gray walls (Smoke Embers by Benjamin Moore), Chicago-area ‘Design storms’ created a tranquil eating nook that feels laid back and luxurious.

9. Long Table Bathed in Light

This Seattle-area Tudor-style home got a top-to-bottom makeover. In the process, general contractors ‘RW Anderson Homes’ and the interior design team at ‘Esd Design’ struck a balance between old and new. A wall of simulated-pided-light grid windows fills the space with sunshine. Around the custom-made table, stark black chairs echo the home’s more traditional style, while contemporary hanging pendant bulbs keep things feeling fresh.

8. Bold in Blues

A bright custom banquette, a quartet of colorful paintings, a vintage table, bold floral wallpaper and punches of red from wall sconces add up to a breakfast nook bursting with energy. ‘Summer Thornton Design’ incorporated the cozy space into a cheery co-op apartment overlooking Chicago’s Oak Street Beach.

7. Beachy Bench Seating

The whimsical blues and greens that swirl across the custom banquette cushions in this Charleston, South Carolina, home can also be seen in appliances, cabinets and glass open shelving accents throughout the room. ‘Designer Cortney Bishop’ continued the airy, beachfront aesthetic with the room’s clean white backdrop and playful hanging ceiling lights.

6. Warm Wood and White

The design team at ‘Chelsea Benay’ in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area warmed up this wide-open white dining area with rustic wood while letting the strong lines of the chairs, table, statement light fixture and exposed timber beams shine.

5. Transitional Nook

With its built-in bench seating and classic white walls, this Washington, D.C.-area eating nook feels timeless. But ‘Haus Interior Design’s choice to add interest with unexpected details, like the oversize brass pendant and translucent dining chairs, elevates and updates the vibe.

4. Spacious and Serene

To compete with the striking scope of this cavernous Miami kitchen and dining area, the table needed to make a statement. And the rustic yet contemporary piece that ‘NP Interior Design’ chose does the trick and then some. The modern curves of the dining chairs and the drama of the light fixture round out the room.

3. Rich and Rustic

Part comfy farmhouse, part sleek entertaining space, this Charlotte, North Carolina, kitchen and dining room showcases the latest in-demand amenities through a charming, lived-in lens. The team at ‘New Old’ tucked major appliances like the fridge and ovens behind the cooktop wall, allowing all attention to stay on the homey gathering space by the fireplace.

2. Refined With a Pop of Art

A deep blue accent wall (Rich Navy by Glidden) sets the scene in this sophisticated New York condo, highlighting the framed artwork as the room’s focal point. A sleek sideboard adds a dose of midcentury style and storage, while metallic touches via the light fixture and tabletop decor convey an elevated sense of richness, courtesy of the design team at ‘Décor Aid’.

1. Let There Be Skylight

The most-saved dining room of 2018 is a sunny eating area in a recently renovated London Victorian. A flood of natural light from a new glass roof shows off Imperfect Interiors’ welcoming mix of rustic and traditional elements that got the attention of many Houzz users throughout the year.
