The Malaysian Navy said in a statement that 10 people were killed today after two helicopters collided in the air during a display training for the Royal Malaysian Navy.
She added: “The accident occurred at the Lumut Naval Base in the western state of Perak at 9.32 am on Tuesday (0132 GMT).”
“All the victims were confirmed dead at the scene before being sent to Lumut Military Base Hospital for identification,” the Navy said.
In a video clip circulated on the “X” platform, about 8 planes appear in the air in a group flight.
Seconds after the planes appeared, two planes from the group suddenly fell.
No further details have been provided about the incident so far.
