European University to open in New Administrative Capital

LONDON, JULY 10 (SEE) Founder of the European University Mahmoud Hashim Abdelkader signed a scientific agreement on Monday with Vice President of London University Mary Stiasny in the presence of Egyptian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Nasser Kamel.

The European University is the second to be established in the New Administrative Capital after the Canadian university that opened last week. This comes within the framework of implementing foreign university branches in the new capital under directives of President Abdel El Fattah El Sisi.

The university will include 15 faculties from different specializations with majors in economics, international relations, accounting, anthropology, geography, environment, international history, law, business administration, philosophy, psychology, in addition to mass communication. It will contribute significantly to the development of the educational system in Egypt, granting it a distinguished international level, and attracting Arab and African students to study in the new capital.

The university's board of trustees are former President of Cairo University Hossam Kamel, and former President of Ain Shams University Hussein Issa.
