Japan has been always interested in promoting its culture and science via media which is considered one of the most powerful marketing tools. One of the most well-known news and cultural websites of Japan is called "Nipon".

Nipon, which means Japan in the Japanese language, is available in seven languages, for the purpose of promoting Japanese sciences and culture. The content of the website is admired by its followers.

The Nipon's Arabic version is headed by Egypt-born Mohamed Hassan.

Hassan told SEE that working at any of the website's editions requires bilingual persons who master the Japanese language beside his mother one.

"A daily meeting is held to discuss latest developments on social media platforms and various ideas," Hassan added.

He asserted that the website's atmosphere is always calm as all the editors work silently at the newsroom because the translation process needs concentration.

Moreover, he noted that the Nipon Network chairperson's office exists inside the newsroom, adding that "the chairman always seeks to communicate with the editorial staff."

Hassan pointed out that watching "Capitan Maged" cartoon was the main reason behind his admiration of learning the Japanese language.

The 30-year old man was awarded a scholarship to continue studying in Japan and worked as a tourist guide before working in the media field.
