Standard & Poor's (S&P) lowered on Thursday Israel's long-term rating from AA- to A+, amid the escalation of the ongoing confrontation with Iran over the weekend and in light of the its high geopolitical risks.
“We expect Israel’s government deficit to expand to 8% of GDP in 2024, mainly due to increased defense spending,” S&P said in a statement.
