CAIRO, Jan. 30 (SEE)- In line with the New Cities Body’s initiatives to enhance Egypt’s urban zones, 25 new smart buses have been launched in an experimental phase inside 6th of October City, for swiveling to be much metropolitan and fun!
The whole process is smart, a mobile application offers E-ticketing and online payment services. Also, trip planning and tracking are accessible, thanks to the planted GPS devices.
The buses are air conditioned and have WiFi access. In addition, next to each passenger USB ports and charging sockets are installed.
As soon as the bus passes by a station, news is broadcast through microphones so everyone is notified. There are two doors, one for entrance and the other for exit.
As for security measures, the buses have surveillance cameras installed to ensure safety. Besides, the monitoring system includes screens that display the bus route and counters that register the number of passengers.
This project is initiated in collaboration with ‘Muwaslat Misr’ company.
