CAIRO, Sept. 28 (SEE) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi concluded on Friday his fifth visit to New York. The visit is considered constructive and fruitful as the president partook in four international summits and held 19 bilateral meetings.

Several topics were raised during Sisi's speeches in numerous meetings in New York including poverty, development, economic reform, climate change, stability, and security as well.

Such participation reflected the importance of the Egyptian role in the Middle East region.

In his speech before the UN General Assembly, president Sisi spoke about the deteriorating situation in the region. He pointed out that the state, which is the main unit of the international system, is exposed to attempts of destruction and disintegration.

Sisi also gave a speech on climate change issues while taking part in a high-level dialogue, stressing Egypt's need for more renewable energy sources to boost the development process. He cited that the African continent is badly harmed by the climate change although the responsibility does not fall on it only.

On the other hand, the president held meetings and talks with a number of heads of states including US President Donald Trump, Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Jordanian King Abdullah II, South Korean President Moon Jae-in, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

Sisi, during his meetings, showed Egypt's interest in boosting relations with these countries.

The economic aspect was present in most of his talks, as the president reviewed the current economic situation and available opportunities for investment in Egypt, a matter which made the visit more meaningful.

Some of the world leaders who Sisi met expressed their happiness for meeting the president through their social media accounts.
