Robot Competition Established among Canada-Egypt Engineering Students at Administrative Capital

At one of the halls at Canada-Egypt University faculty of engineering in the new administrative capital, a robot competition was established among the first year students. The competition was about the tallest tour had been formed of blocks by robot which was controlled through remote control.

One of students that participated in the competition Fatma Hamdy said that the competition was consisted of 5 groups, about 3 to 5 students per group. Every group competing with the other of the ability of robot to move blocks and create the tallest tower.

Hamdy mentioned that the students were practiced through workshops by the professors, in order to gain the skill of robot installation, the ability to collect it together and then how to control it. She pointed to that the faculty administration allocated about 10% of the total GPA.

She continued that the winner team will have the opportunity to get a grant by reducing the tuition fees or to complete the study at the University Branch of Canada.
