CAIRO, Sept10 (SEE): A new Australian study showed that cat owners seem to have  better mental health than others who do't own pets.

Another survey in Scotland conducted 2,200 kids aged 11 to 15, found that kids who are close to their pets are less stressed and live a better life.

If you don't have a pet, you still have a chance to watch videos of them which has the same effect. A study proved that watching cat videos on the internet make people feel less annoyed, sad and anxious.

A research study published by the American Psychological Association found that cat owners can feel more close to people.

Rose Perrine and Hannah Osbourne of Eastern Kentucky University said,"Positive feelings about dogs/cats may engender positive feelings about people, or vice-versa."

A study followed 120 married couples in their homes showed that a cat may help in making marital life easier. Those couples who own a cat can handle stress and problems better that those without cats because their pets make them calmer.

After following 4,435 people for 13 years, a study showed that  owning a cat may save you from heart diseases because they could be a sort of preventative medicine.

People who own a cat through their lives are less likely to die from a heart attack compared to those who never owned a cat. They have a lower heart rate, blood pressure and Cholesterol.
