RAMALLAH, Sept 10 (SEE) - The Palestinian government condemned on Monday the US decision to close the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) office in Washington, saying it is a declaration of war against peacemaking efforts in both the Palestinian territories and the entire region.

The decision gives a green light to Israel to go ahead with its bloody and settlement polices against the Palestinians, Spokesman for the government Youssef Mahmoud said as quoted by WAFA news agency.

He expressed regret over the Trump administration's decision, saying "such polices will never force the Palestinians to kneel down but on the contrary will create more tension in the region."

Washington notified the PLO that it will shut down its office as part of an effort to block cases against Israel at the International Criminal Court.
