“Pacific Mission” hosted by Opera today, selected shows continue at 9 theatres

Cairo - September 13 (SEE): Today and tomorrow, the Opera’s small hall will show at 5 pm a play titled “Pacific Mission” (be’thet elmoheet elhady). The play is a foreign one and is considered to be among the main shows scheduled for the ongoing silver  jubilee of the Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theatre.

Nine theatres across Egypt continue to display 10 foreign shows , 11 Arab and 6 Egyptian ones scheduled for the whole duration of the festival which started in Sept 10th throughout Sept 21st.

Among the other main shows,”Free Attendance at Germany” (hadret horra Almania), a foreign show to be displayed at Miami theatre, Alexandria, on Saturday and Sunday 5pm.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Opera small hall will show a Tunisian play titled “The violence” (el’onf) at 5 pm.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Metropole theatre will display at 9 pm a play titled “Going back home to Palestine”  (merawah ‘ala felesteen).

This year’s celebrations are dedicated to a number of Arab and Egyptian innovators, and the shows were carefully selected to highlight the power of art in the contemporary lives.

The closing ceremony of the event will be organized at the Opera main hall on Friday September 21st at 8 pm.
