SEE - July 25th: Actresses Dina El Sherbiny and Yasmine Ra’es were not the latest famous people who perform the dance and post their videos online, but others including Star Goalkeeper Essam ElHadary were filmed while performing this dance.

The dance which features people stepping down from slowly moving cars and dancing in the street, stirs uproar on social media.

Social networks sites users continued to exchange questions about the dance and sarcastically posting comments and comics on the videos posted by stars performing this dance.

The obsession about the ‘kiki’ dance talk has triggered warning from authorities who emphasized that performing this dance might cause one to pay fines or even go to jail.

In the meantime, Bloomberg published a report titled “You Could Face a Year in Jail for Doing the #InMyFeelings Challenge’, commenting on the situation in Egypt.

A roadside dance inspired by rapper Drake’s “In My Feelings” may be an Internet sensation, but in Egypt, it can land you behind bars, Bloomberg reported.

Egypt’s Interior Ministry says that while it’s fine to do the dance for fun, obstructing traffic could draw fines of up to 3,000 pounds ($167) and a year in prison, the Ahram Online news website reported. If the dance results in injury or death, the case could be referred to prosecutors, the portal quoted the ministry’s spokesman as saying.

Egypt isn’t the only country in the region where the dance has ruffled feathers. According to The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi, prosecutors ordered the arrest of three “social media influencers” after they posted videos of themselves taking part in the dance challenge. Arrest warrants were issued on the ground that the dancing endangered the lives of others and offended public morals, the newspaper cited the prosecutor’s office as saying in a statement.
