CAIRO, Feb. 20 (SEE) - Pregnant Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle landed in New York in the first visit since her wedding to Prince Harry last May, days before heading to Morocco in a royal visit with her husband.

According to British ‘Mirror’, the Duchess reportedly jetted to New York for five days of rest and relaxation before the baby is born this spring.

Meghan is believed to be taking time out with her close friends in the Big Apple.

Surrounded by lots of photographers, she cradled her baby bump as she left her hotel just hours before her glamorous baby shower.

The Duchess of Sussex wore an all black ensemble as she left The Mark Hotel for Met Breuer art museum just a few blocks away.

After her visit to the museum, Meghan was joined by her close pal and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer at The Surrey hotel.

Bunches of beautiful pink roses were earlier seen being delivered before the Duchess turned up looking sophisticated, dressed in black.

The delivery truck was seen unloading an array of bouquets in New York with hotel staff carrying them inside The Mark Hotel, where rooms start at £620 and the suites go up to nearly £75,000 a night.

Officers from the New York Police Department were seen arriving at the same hotel. A truck dropped off barricades as police entered the building to speak to security in preparation for the big day.

She will enjoy "rest, shopping and good food" with her "closest and most loyal" friends, according to Harpers Bazaar.

It was also revealed that while there, her pals would throw her a baby shower with 15 guests at a private location.

The duchess will join husband, Prince Harry, on Saturday in a 3-day tour in Morocco, on what's expected to be their final royal trip before they become parents.

The couple, who are expecting their first child in April, will visit Casablanca, Asni and Rabit during their tour, and will have a number of engagements planned, focusing on a number of issues including gender equality and education.

Their trip starts with a Guard of Honour at Casablanca Airport, where the couple will be greeted by British Ambassador to Morocco and his wife.
