Cairo, Mar.2 (SEE) - Unlike other climates, Egypt encounters two distinct seasons: a long hot summer from May until October and a mild winter from November to April. This means that March is the best time to visit if you are looking for some spring sun.

Though the temperature starts to rise in Cairo, the weather remains refreshing and sunny all day long. The average daily temperature during march is 18°C; it can reach a high of 23°C and drops to low of 13°C. During this time of the year, Cairo experiences approximately 11 hours of sunshine per day.

On the other hand, the average temperature in Alexandria is 14°C, rarely falling below 12°C or exceeding 21°C.

The city undergoes longer hours of sunshine on daily basis over the course of March. The length of the day increases by 57 minutes from the start to the end of the month. This means less rainfall and more sunny hours to relish, making temperature at its most pleasant. It seems that spring is already on the horizon.
