CAIRO, Apr. 7 (SEE)- Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo, opened the annual training and employment forum in its 14th edition organized by the Office of Training and Employment (SCAD OFFICE) in the presence of University’s president Dr. Yasser Hijazi, and Deans of faculties.
Mansour pointed out that this exhibition is held every year as an effective means of bringing together a group of international and specialized companies and universities in one place, allowing students and graduates to know the requirements of the labor market through suitable training and placement opportunities offered by the participating companies.
Participating companies will also be able to use appropriate cadres of students and graduates to work in their respective fields. He said that this year’s forum witnessed the participation of 103 multinationals, including 12 research institutes and a German university such as Stuttgart, Tübingen, Ulm, Philips Marburg, and DAAD, and 91 companies and institutions in the fields of engineering, industry, banking, electricity, and products. Pharmaceutical – Telecommunications – Food – Advertising – Furniture – Software – Auditing and Accounting – Hospitality – Marketing – Legal Consultancy.
Mansour said that the university’s education system depends on the cooperation between Egypt and Germany, as it represents 42% of the German higher education beyond its borders, and its graduates and students have a global reputation that attracts all those looking for qualified and trained cadres.
This year, the recruitment forum was supported by a number of participants: CIB Bank, Al Ahli Bank, Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, Unilever, and L’Oreal.
