Madbouli sworn in as Egypt's PM; new defense, interior ministers appointed

Newly-appointed Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has arrived on Thursday at the presidential palace to take the official oath before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The cabinet reshuffle involved changes of some ministers; topped by New Defense Minister Mohamed Ahmed Zaki instead of previous minister Sedqi Sobhy and New Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik Qandil who replaced previous interior minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar.

The changes included health, civil aviation, finance, trade, local development, public business sector, environment, agriculture, communications and youth ministers.

Hala Mostafa Zayed was chosen for New Health Minister. Youness Al Masry was appointed as New Civil Aviation Minister. Mohamed Moait was selected as New Finance Minister. Amr Adel Bayoumi was chosen as New Trade and Industry Minister. Mahmoud Sharawi was appointed as New Local Development Minister.

Hesham Anwar was selected as New Public Business Sector Minister. Yasmeen Fouad was chosen as New Environment Minister. Ezzeddin Abu Steett was apointed as New Agriculture Minister. Amr Sameh Talaat was selected as New Communications Minister. Ashraf Sobhi was appointed as New Youth and Sports Minister.

The remaining ministers were are from the previous cabinet.

All the minister took the constitutional oath before the president.
