Mohamed Salah suffered a heavy blow on the head after being caught by onrushing Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka before being taken off on a stretcher in Liverpool's climatic 3-2 win at St James' Park Saturday

The Egyptian star who scored in the first half, required intensive treatment and was replaced by eventual winning goal scorer Divock Origi in the 73rd-minute.

It is still unclear over whether he will be available but the good news for Liverpool is that the forward is 'fine' and despite Lovren cracking a joke at the Egyptian's expense, signs point to him still being in contention to play.

That win means the Premier League title race tug of war between the reds and Man City is still intact, but whether Salah will play a part in the coming week's action, with the Reds also welcoming Barcelona to Anfield in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Tuesday is still up in the air.
