Korean Culture Center Concludes Taekwondo Courses

CAIRO, Dec. 5 (SEE)- Korean Cultural Centre in Cairo concluded its annual taekwondo courses that lasted three months, on 4 December. Around 226 school students, from different ages, participated.

Korea is keen on promoting its culture, not only in Cairo, but across all Egyptian governorates as well. Thus, taekwondo courses took place in Cairo, Sharqia, Gharbia, Fayum, and Aswan.

Classes focused on teaching attendees the essential taekwondo movements used to attack and defend.

To motivate students to improve their skills and continue their training, the cultural centre offered the sports centers and clubs, that took part in the courses, some training equipments. The center also handed all participants certificates of appreciation.

Director of Korean Cultural Center in Cairo Yang Sangn expressed "Taekwondo courses are one of the center's main activities. So, the center always aims to improve these courses, to benefit the maximum number of students in different Egyptian governorates."

He concluded: "I hope these classes stimulate students to permanently practice the sport, and to be part of national and international championships."
