JATA Delegation Visits Cairo for Tourism Talks

CAIRO, Feb 2 (SEE) - The Tourism Ministry, represented in the Egyptian Tourism Authority, hosted President of Japan Association of Travel Agents Tadashi Shimura and his accompanying official and media delegation, that are currently visiting Egypt from Saturday till Thursday.

Ahmed Youssef, the head of the Egyptian authority, said that such a visit has a positive impact on attracting more Japanese tourists to Egypt.

"The Japanese market is one of the most important markets, as the Japanese tourists are famous for their high spending rate and long stay in addition to their passion for the ancient Egyptian civilization," Youssef noted.

He pointed out that the authority will hold talks with the JATA to review the various activities of the Egyptian tourist destinations which attract the Japanese tourist.

Earlier, Tourism Minister Rania Al Mashat said in interviews that the ministry is focusing on the Asian market as it looks forward to increasing the number of tourists flocking to Egypt.
