Japan snatched a vital victory of Saudi Arabia in the Asian Cup last 16, after defeating them with 1-0 to qualify for the quarter finals of the championship.
The only goal of the match came in the 20th minute of the first half by Takahiro Tomiaso after capitalizing on a corner cross heading it into goal.
Japan now qualifies for the quarter final facing Vietnam on Thursday on Al-Maktom Stadium in El-Nasr Club. The Saudi team overall had the attacking edge throughout the match, but failed to convert their chances onto goal.
