CAIRO, Feb. 7 (SEE) - Iraqi Foreign Minister
Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim hailed the anti-terrorism coalition's efforts in Iraq in
various fields, including defeating ISIS, during his speech at a ministerial
meeting held in Washington on Wednesday.
Hakim stressed that the Iraqi armed forces
presented the finest images of valor and
sacrifice to liberate the land from "gangs and terrorists,"
explaining that "Iraq draws its strength from the unity of its people and
territorial integrity and was able to restore security and stability with the
help of the international coalition.
He noted that the Iraqi government insists on
applying laws, confront corruption, secure essential services to people,
support stability, revive the economy and return displaced people to their
homes.

Hakim expressed his hope that countries that vowed
assistance in the Iraq reconstruction conference in Kuwait will meet their
pledges, calling the globe to support Iraq in its war against terrorist dormant
cells.
"The international coalition has to pay
attention to its founding principles such as full respect to sovereignty of
Iraq and its constitution," he added.
"I reaffirm
necessity of intensifying the coalition's efforts to defeat terrorism in Syria and
make sure of not allowing terrorists to return back to our neighboring country
so we can preserve the victory that we have achieved in Iraq in the same
context."
