Int'l Conference on "Armenians of Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia" kicks off

CAIRO, AUG 11 (SEE) Members from Egypt, Lebanon, and Armenia participated on Friday in three sessions' conference on the Armenian community in Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia.

The first session was held in cooperation with the Apostolic Armenian Patriarchate in Cairo on April 12-13.

The second session was held in Beruit at the University of Haigazian on May 29-30.

Members of the Committee from the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, France, Egypt, and Armenia presented papers from previous sessions to the Armenians of Sudan and Ethiopia.

The conference covered twenty-four topics and is the fifth of a series of annual gatherings organized by the Armenian Diaspora Research Center (ADRC).
