Heat Wave Hits Egypt on Tuesday, Cairo 38°C

In light of the weather changes experienced in the second half of spring, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has warned of a new heat wave accompanied by a rise in temperatures throughout the country.

The experts added that the heat wave is accompanied by a rise in temperatures that will be from Tuesday until Thursday.

The EMA predicts extremely hot weather to prevail across the country during daylight hours on Tuesday.

Warm weather is also predicted to hit the North Coast.

The experts also foresaw the country will experience a 6:7 increase in the temperature.

Dusty winds will be active in the North of the country, leading to a decrease in visibility in the South of the country. 

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves, ranging between 2 and 2.5 meters in height with southeast surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between 1.25 and 1.75 meters in height varying between northwest and southeast surface winds.

Moreover, most parts of the country will experience moderate weather at nighttime.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 38°C in Cairo, 37°C in Alexandria, 38°C in Marsa Matruh, 39°C in Sohag, 40°C in Qena, and 42°C in Aswan.
