CAIRO, Feb .13. (SEE) –After a severe social conflict, Germany finally settled the state of controversy between the government and the opposition between coal as an electricity source and renewable energy as its source.

By 2038, Germany will close its last coal mine although it is the largest partner in its industrial and economic power since World War II, it is a historic moment for Germany in application of the ''Paris Convention on Climate Change'' for a clean environment.

“SEE“ contacted El- Nukrashi, one of the most important scientists of renewable energy in Germany and a member of the Advisory Council of the Egyptian presidency, to reveal the  conclusions and repercussions of the Germany decision to abandon coal as a source of electrical energy.

Coal is one of the most energy sources harmful to the environment but  thousands dozens of workplaces depend on it in Germany and after the exit of nuclear energy planned by the end of 2022, Germany will be one of the first industrialized countries in the world that depend on entirely  renewable energies as well as gas As of 2038.

Climate protection workers, trade unionists, corporate representatives and scientists have made great efforts to find solutions at the committee set up by the government from representatives of environment friends, coal miners, coal-producing coalitions and local government in the provinces that produce coal as affected, because they will face unemployment and many crises after the abandonment of coal.

*Reaction of the decision in the Germany Economic Department;

The German Economy Minister reported that Germany, wants to develop and move forward in the field of sustainability and renewable energies and use it in every way to achieve this goal it is necessary to persify the renewable energies because they are volatile in the Germany land and the ongoing ones such as; water are few and the rest is supplemented by natural gas.

That is why they are heading for a new supply of gas to the Baltic Sea from Russia to double the amount of gas they receive as well as we are currently thinking of large investments to exploit wind power because the wind power in Germany is much greater than the wind on the beaches.

El-Nukrashi announced that Germany has decided to abandon all traditional energies and the last nuclear plant will be 2022, and for coal also has enough time to change the system and will be excluded total 7 GW of coal-fired power from the grid by 2022.

The states affected by this decision will receive aids under a contract with the state and the German government will support structural change accurately and will offers 5000 new jobs by 2028.

He added, that the pollution resulting from the gas use  in the factories half of the amount of pollution caused by coal especially, that coal impurities when burning produce pollution in the atmosphere causing serious diseases as well as there is no so-called clean coal technology.

Finally, El- Nukrashi warned of the construction of two coal plants in El-Hamrawiya and Ayn Mousa, which the Egyptian Minister of Electricity decided to set up in Egypt's most beautiful tourist regions, because the return from tourism in this region is ten times from coal.

He expressed his opinion to the Egyptian government on the 36 meter Shamsi field project in one point which is considered a waste of photovoltaic cells, which can be installed in more than one place .
