Google Marks 86th Anniversary of "Dalida"

CAIRO, Jan. 17 (SEE)- Global search engine "Google" is celebrating the birth anniversary of Egyptian international star "Dalida" who was born on January 17, 1933, and replaced by the site's icon which was replaced by a shining cartoon of the Italian singer.

The singer would sing while wearing 12 of her most famous dresses during her historic concert at Paris in 1980, with varied designs to dazzle the public; this narrates the years of that concert which included 11 dancers and 30 musicians show such as; the Broadway theaters.

"Dalida" talent made her a legendary singing legend in France, following her journey from Egypt in search of the fame, where she was named French song revolutionary. She sang at most famous theaters in ''Paris'' and won the Oscar for ''Monte Carlo'' in 1958 for seven years.

The first in the classifications of songs in several European countries and her songs achieved successes. She started her global tours from France, Italy, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, in addition to one of the most famous works in 1974 and known as ''Gigi l'Amoroso'', considered the highest-selling in 12 countries.

She succeeded in leading the disco songs wave at this time through the ''J'attendrai version'' song, which became the first French disco music, until she returned to Egypt and traveled to several Arab countries to introduce a new color in Arabic for her audience in the region by mixing Western tunes with Arabic songs and achieved a dazzling success as well as traveled from the Middle East to the United States in 1978. Her first English songs also achieved great success.

She married a French musician and porced him, but she continued to suffer from emotional outbursts as well as two of her close friends who committed suicide, one of them was her lover. This led to long depression waves and she later died in 1987.

Dalida's important songs include: ''Madonna, Bambino, Petit Gonzalez, Zorba's Dance, Darladir ladada, Avec le temps, He Must Have Been 18, Paroles Paroles, Lambeth Walk, Monday Tuesday, Mourir sur scène and Lucas''.
