CAIRO, Dec. 9 (SEE) – Famous international cardiology icon Sir Magdi Yacoub stated that Egypt counts on her youth people in science, which is certainly based on knowledge.

Speaking to ‘SEE’, the renown professor said: “Science is not terrifying.. But it’s really beautiful,” adding that the best thing in the world is scientific discoveries.

Professor Yacoub said that his love to science as it plays a great role in serving societies and the whole world, affirming that without knowledge or scientific researches no country can make progress.

On other hand, the renowned scholar elaborated that Egypt is very rich in talented and skillful youth and innovative ideas and that science will never show up but with full assimilation with the scientific revolution currently happening in the world, since science and society are two faces of the same coin.

His talk came during a ceremony organized by the British University in Egypt (BUE) during the science and knowledge day, and was attended by its board of trustees. After his talk, the professor opened the nanotechnology center.
