G.U.C. Scholar Scoops Arabic Researchers Award

Dr. Noha Mohamed  ElBasiony,  Head of the Marketing Department and the Vice Dean for the Academic Affairs in the German University in Cairo won the award of Abd ElHamid Shoman’s corporation for the Arabic researchers in its 37th session for 2019.

She won the award with Prof. Ossama Abd ElMagid Abd ElHamid ElAny in the Economical and Administrative Sciences field about “The Islamic Economy.” subject.

The Award includes a certificate with the winner’s name, the award’s name and the field, a shield with the award’s name and logo, and a 20 thousand dollars financial reward.

Dr. ElBasiony explained that the countries targeted were Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Libya, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Kuwait, Qatar, Bahraini, Oman, Yemen, Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, and Comoros.

She pointed that 382 candidate competed in 6 scientific fields “Medical and Health Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Basic Science, Humanities and Educational Sciences, Technology and Agricultural Sciences and Economical and Administrative Sciences.” Two chosen specializations were categorised under each field.

 She also added that only 15 researchers won the award in the mentioned fields.

Professor Abd ElHamid ElAny added that this award is the first Arabic Award to take interest in the Scientific Research and the Arabic Researchers.

Shoman Corporation launched the award in 1982 to recognize the scientific production that increases the scientific and applied knowledge and research awareness. This can solve local and international problems and can play a great role in preparing a generation of Arabic researchers and specialists in different scientific fields.

We must mention that Dr. ElBasiony is one of the most important researchers, authors and publishers in the Marketing field in Egypt and the Middle East seeing as she won five international awards for her published researches with Emerald Publishing.

Also, she published more than 90 researches including about 40 researches about the Islamic Marketing, Sustainable Consumption, the Consumer’s Psychology, Luxurious Consumption, Sustainable Consumption in the fields of Sustainable Development, Sustainable Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility in Egypt, Consumer Values in relation to the Solar home solutions, Consumption Researches, and Healthy food Consumption among Adolescents in International Schools.

Dr. ElBasiony also was the Keynote Speaker in many international scientific conferences in Germany, Malaysia, England and the U.S.A. in the last ten years.
