French Embassy Launches the Bassem Sabry program

CAIRO, JULY 7 (SEE) the French Embassy and Institute in Egypt launched an annual program aimed at young Egyptian analysts and journalists interested in learning about France and the major issues that arise within the French society.

Bassem Sabry an Egyptian writer whose blog "An Arab Citizen" is considered one of the most respected blogs. He raised the issues of civil liberties to the general public and died from an accident in 2014.

To honor and commemorate his work, the Embassy launched an annual program in which

the winner of this program will have the opportunity to travel one week to France to prepare professional reports and interviews and then publish them to the Egyptian public.

Candidates can submit their application until Thursday, July 12.
