Ford to Uncover 4th Generation in 2020

2020 Ford Escape will release the all new fourth generation Ford. It will not only have a new look, but it will also boost high-tech powertrains and loads of advanced tech features.

It will boost a more rounded front end with a Mustang-inspired grille and a GT-inspired lower front end. Around back will be a swoopier liftgate for enhanced aerodynamics.

Inside, it will boost an all-new cabin that will look more upscale than before. It will also be more tech-packed than ever with a plethora of standard and available tech features.The interior will also be versatile with its sliding second-row seat that will offer class-leading legroom when slid rearward and up to 37.5 cubic feet of cargo room when slid forward.

The list will be a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 6-inch head-up display, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, USB A and USB C ports, an 8-inch touchscreen, SYNC 3, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and much more.

Ford Escape options

Escape Plug-In Hybrid has Level 1 & 2 charging ports the latter allowing Escape to hoover up enough electrons to fill its battery in about 3.5 hours. Its lithium-ion battery is underneath the rear seat and takes up one-third of the space compared to the old Escape Hybrid battery.

On the simpler side will be a 1.5- and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines producing 180 and 250 horsepower, respectively. The 2.0-liter engine will sprint the Escape to 60 mph 10% quicker than the previous 2.0-liter-equipped Escape and will tow up to 3,500 pounds.

2020 hybrid models will be available with and without plug-in capability, the trims of SE Sport and Titanium come standard with Ford’s familiar hybrid propulsion system which includes a 2.5-liter four banger hooked to a continuously variable transmission. This front-drive model is projected to produce a combined system horsepower of 198 and a top speed of 85 mph in electric-only mode.
