First Shipment of Ugandan meat to arrive in Egyptian market

KAMPALA, JULY 30 (SEE) Eufs-Egypt Uganda Food Security Company started exporting the first shipment of meat to the Egyptian market.

Sherif El-Kleny Managing Director of the company said that the shipment includes 50 tons of Ugandan frozen meat, and is of the finest quality. "feeding cattle on natural fodder makes the Ugandan meat one of the best beef market," he added.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was keen to inaugurate the Food Security Company in August 2016. The Ugandan leadership recognizes the importance of the project as the company is the largest slaughterhouse in Africa and the first to export frozen meat according to the latest international packaging methods.
