After Elissa, the famous Lebanese singer, announced that she is battling against cancer and undergoing healing treatment, the wife of Bashar al Asad followed suit, announcing her breast cancer and the Presidential page published her picture while receiving treatment next to her husband.

Dr. Mohammad Shaalan, professor of Oncology and head of breast surgery at The National Oncology Institute commended Elissa's audacity and courage while struggling against breast cancer through a video clip which contains authentic and true passages during her struggle and triumph over the disease.

In the video clip, Elissa spread her feelings and emotions and her true experience with a fatal disease that is rooted in the minds of society.

Dr. Shaalan added," The video clip is very informative and we are trying to urge the community that early detection of breast cancer achieves a healing ratio of 98%, with will and courage.

"All people can fight breast cancer; they should not succumb to this disease and the side effects of its treatment that may cause strain psychologically and physically," he said. The Professor noted that the lyrics of the song titled "To All those who love Me" reflected the psychological state of the fight against breast cancer during the period of treatment, aches and stresses.

To resist the disease, patients need support and assistance from both the family and friends to move beyond that stage.

The fight against breast cancer always requires words of encouragement.

That is what Elissa's song reflects.

Dr. Shaalan called upon women not to be ashamed if they suffer from breast cancer because the disease would not detract their femininity and it would be inspiring for other women to do early screening or other patients to complete the journey with determination and courage.
