CAIRO, Sept 13 (SEE) - The Egyptian government issued several amendments to the customs tariffs which included introducing an international article for the electric cars.

The electric cars are excluded from paying the customs tariffs.

This move came in order to encourage using such kind of cars to achieve the goals of energy consumption in light of accomplishing goals of Egypt Vision 2030 on sustainable development.

While, the hybrid cars' customs tariffs had been reduced as well as the natural gas vehicles, whose tariffs were declined by 35%.

The decision was published in the official gazette on September 9 and endorsed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

It will be in force as of September 12.
