CAIRO, Dec. 2 (SEE)- President of Al Ahly Sports Club Mahmoud El-Khatib returned to Cairo after a two-week treatment trip to Germany.

Minister of Youth and sports Ashraf Sobhy along with Vice Chairman of the club El-Amry Farouk and others received El-Khatib upon his arrival in Cairo airport.

El-Khatib insisted several times on postponing surgery to support the club’s football team in the African Championship.

He was awarded the African Footballer of the Year title in 1983, as well as Egyptian Premier League top goalscorer in the seasons 1977–78, 1980–81.
