Egyptian Team Wins Gold at Geneva International Invention Fair

CAIRO, Apr. 16 (SEE)- The Egyptian delegation participating in the International Exhibition of Inventions, 2019 at its forty-seventh session, won 3 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.

Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research expressed his happiness with these great results. Abdul Ghaffar pointed out that the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology opens an annual window for Egyptian inventors to participate and interact in the largest and most important international exhibition for innovation.

The inventors and innovators represent the first category who deserve government support and support, as they participate in boosting the reputation of Egypt in various international forums. Dr. Amr Hilal won the gold medal for creating an innovative diet enriched with vitamins and minerals. Dr. Mahmoud Galal also won a gold medal for presenting innovative techniques to resist agricultural pests and innovator Mahmoud Saleh for the creation of a program for the genetic analysis of chromosomes.

Silver medals were given to Ahmed Al-Shami for his innovation regarding the cooling efficiency of heavy diesel engines using nanoparticles; Bahi Ahmed for his innovation of the robot’s reconstruction of the hand structure; Hisham Nasar for his invention of the unit of sterilization and integrated fumigation of medical waste using ozone and plasma; Abanoub Jamal for devising a device to extract the active ingredient from the plant in one step, and Ihab Adel for creating an insurance system using an insurance plane.

Bronze medals were handed to Dr. Mahmoud Jalal for his invention of animal feed production of fig leaf, and Dr. Amr Hilal for his invention of rice bran extracts, Fadwa Al – Shennawi for creating a bracelet to reveal the function of the heart and Dr. Ahmadi Hamad who invented artificial horn.

The Egyptian team also received four gold medals and atrophy of excellence from the French Federation of Innovations.

King Abdul Aziz University gave the Egyptian team shields and certificates of appreciation. Mahmoud Saleh, one of the competitors, received a medal and certificate of appreciation from the World Association of Inventors and Korean Entrepreneurs. The team also received a shield of the State of Korea and a Swiss-Egyptian friendship shield.
